6.1.1 Erase a Palette link

Keypresses Results/Comments

1. Press [EFFECT]

Skip this step if the NSK mode is Effect.

2. Press an NSK The Effect number and text is displayed in the command

line.

3. Press [LINK]

4. Press [ERASE]

The message Effect 3 Stored is displayed.

6.2 Join for Effects

Effects assigned to controllers can be joined for global rate modification. Joined Effects stored

in Snaps are displayed in with a red J in the Snap exam.

Note that when the [JOIN] key is active, Joined Effects have only 1 LED on, while joined

chasers have both LEDs on.

1. Press [JOIN]

The assignment LEDs are extinguished.

2. Press [DIM] or [XF] to join

Effect assignments

The [DIM] LED is lit under the Join feature.

3. Press [JOIN]

4. Press [CHASE RATE]

5. Press and hold [DIM] (to

increase the rate) or [XF] (to

decrease the rate) for one of

the Effect assignments

The rate for the Effect assignments included in Join is

changed. The icons are displayed in blue in the XFade

exam.

6.3 New Sequence for Duty Cycle

A new sequence has been introduced for quick Duty Cycle assignment in the Effects Editor:

<Duty Cycle tot> [••]. The Duty Cycle is divided according to the number of participating

spots/channels. If there are 4 channels selected the Duty Cycle assignment is 1:4.

This is very useful for programming step chasers. Example: Program a step chase for 4

channels.

[CHANNEL] [1 àà 4] [EFFECT] < STEP primitive> <Duty Cycle tot> [••] <Offset Spread> [••].

For rapid operation make a Macro for <Duty Cycle tot> [••] <Offset Spread> [••]

7. Exams

7.1 Library Exams on monitor 2

Pressing [TOPO] clears Library Exams on monitor 2 and returns the display to the previous

window.

7.2 Macro Exam

Exam Macros using the sequence [MACRO] [EXAM 1/2/3]. The Macro List is displayed on

monitor 1 only.
