4.3 Erasing a device file
Keypresses Results/Comments
1. Go to the Mix output menu.
2. Press F3 Device Files
The Device Files window opens. The Device
List window is active (displayed on a red
background).
3. Press F3 Erase Dev File
The device files window is now active.
4. Press [UP2] or [DOWN2] to
select a device.
The selected device will be erased. Note:
Double check your selection. No confirmation
message is displayed.
5. Press F1 Erase
Warning: The Device File window remains
active. Pressing F1 again erases another
device.
5. Display
The parameter names are now displayed on the Stage display when the editor is idle. The
display is per spot window. The parameter names for the first spot type in the window (spot 1,
13, 25, 36, etc) are displayed.
ØØNote
When using Mix Editing and the selection contains more than 1 type of spot, the parameter
name display is according to the last type of spot in the selection.
6. Effects
6.1 Link Palettes and Effect Templates
Palettes can be linked to Effect Templates for quick programming of Effects that rely on
specific Base values. Example: Palette 101 is a color Palette. Link Effect 1 (a color parameter
Effect) to Palette 101. Whenever Effect 1 is assigned to a group of spots, the color values in
Palette 101 are assigned as Base values for the Effect.
There is an additional column in the Effect Exam called Link Palette. The linked Palette
number and text or No Link is displayed.

1. Press [EFFECT]
Skip this step if the NSK mode is Effect.
2. Press an NSK
3. Press [LINK]
The command line reads: Effect # Link to
Palette
4. Press [PALETTE]
5. Press an NSK The Palette number or text is displayed in the
command line.
6. Press [STORE]
The message Effect # Stored is displayed. The
Effect Exam displays the links.
