J. Playback
1. Two 100-mm Crossfaders shall be provided. Crossfaders shall have LED displays
for memory sequence, illuminated go buttons, dedicated control keys for Back,
Hold, multifade and automatic sequencing. For moving lights, Crossfaders shall
operate in LTP (latest action takes p recedence) or p lay back device control
hierarchy; for channels they shall op erate on a Highest Takes p recedence basis.
Crossfaders shall operate in automatic or manual fades, executing Loops, Links,
and subroutines.
2. 20 Controllers shall be provided. Each Controller shall include a 67mm fader, a
3-colored LED, and a bump button. Each Controller shall support individual spot
or channel assignments, spot parameter assignments, group assignments,
memory assignments, or inhibitive assignments and shall process automatic or
manual operations. For moving lights, Faders shall operate in latest action takes
precedence or p lay back device control hier archy; for channels they shall op erate
on a High est Takes p recedence b asis.
3. Ten Chases may be assigned to Controllers to playback in Hard or Soft run mode.
Chases shall consist of a sequence of memories. In hard mode chases will step
between memories. In soft mode chasers will fad e between memories. Chasers
may receive automatic GO commands or may be stepped through manually. It
shall be possible to automatically fade in Chasers. There shall be a rate control
wheel for chaser r ate override. It shall b e p ossible to store modified chase rates.
Controllers shall also supp ort Autochases.
4. 99 Snapshots (Snaps) may be programmed for playback device assignments.
Snaps shall include all panel assignments and assignment modes.
5. Play back sequences, includin g A/B crossfader assign ments, chaser assignments,
and macro operations, may be stored as Events associated with specific
memories. Over 1,000 Events (1 - 999.9) may be programmed. Events shall be
executed when the associated memory sequences on the A/B crossfader or in the
editor. Events shall also be responsive to SM PTE.
6. There shall be a LookAhead/ForceBlack feature to enable spot parameter and
scroller moves to occur under blackout.
K. Patch menus
1. The Channel Patch menu shall support, but not limited to, channel to dimmer
assignment, dimmer curve options, p rop ortional patch, and enabling/disablin g
General M aster control.
2. The Scroller Patch menu shall supp ort, but not limited to, p atch scrollers to DM X
addresses and control channels, adjust the frame set up, assign the dark gel
function, disabling selected scrollers, and copying scroller set up.
3. The M ix Outp ut menu shall includ e, but not limited to, standard spot definitions,
connector patching, patching to DMX addresses or proprietary protocol. A
default device list shall be provided and a pool of spot definitions shall be
provided for the operator to create a custom device list. Spot definitions may be
edited and new device definitions may be entered. Spot definitions may be
recorded to the hard disk or stored on a floppy disk and loaded as needed.
